Ayukii (Hello)
Welcome to my website.  I create functional pottery inspired by the native designs of my ancestors.  I am a Karuk Tribal member.  I was born in Los Angeles, but my family moved back to the Klamath River in California when I was still very young.  we lived on the Spinks Ranch near Somes Bar until I was about 6 years old.  Our family then moved to the Bay Area and I spent only summers on the ranch with my  grandparents.

I have been working with clay for over 5 years - I enjoy working with Porcelain.  My pottery is hi-fired and is food and dishwasher safe - I occasionally work with raku and saggar firing.  I love making contemporary functional pottery.  I feel that the beauty of our Native Karuk tribal basket weaving designs make for wonderful and unique ceramic pieces.

I am currently working out of my home studio in McKinleyville, California.

My work can be seen at: The Clarke Museum in Eureka, California
The Karuk Museum and Cultural Center in Happy Camp, California
